A portrait of pretending.

Of holding your breath through a smile.

Of folding yourself into the shape people expect while your insides riot.

This piece came from the nights where I told everyone I was okay…

and wasn’t.

Every brushstroke carries that pressure: the mask, the damage it hides, and the quiet wish that someone might notice anyway.

If you’ve ever said “I’m fine” when your chest was on fire, this one’s for you.

Made in the same tiny Long Beach apartment where I’m rebuilding my life from scratch.
