This piece is about denial. Distance. Rage. Silent guidence.

The Shadow came from a season where I rejected every idea of God—not because I didn’t believe He was real, but because I resented the silence. I hated god for taking my brother. I hated him for what i had become because of it.
I painted this during a time I thought I was alone. But looking back, He was there the whole time watching. Waiting. Teaching. This painting documents that in-between a sorta spiritual blackout with something still burning under it.
